Meet Teresa, a compassionate and highly experienced Registered Nurse with over 36 years in healthcare. Her mission is simple: to ensure patient safety and elevate the quality of care. Teresa’s journey includes roles as a Clinical Educator for Emergency and Critical Care Services at Niagara Health, where she developed educational programs and mentored new healthcare professionals. She’s also a member of key professional associations, including DNA, CDNA, and CSASN, and she now sits on the advisory board of MedSkin Solutions in Germany. Her passion extends to teaching advanced courses like ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and Triage, and contributing to the RN Critical Care Internship program at Niagara College. She’s also shared her expertise as a Clinical Educator for Teleflex Medical, specializing in vascular access and airway management training across North America. At Cenote, Teresa leads a dedicated team in combining beauty, wellness, and science to deliver top-notch treatments. Her welcoming demeanor and extensive experience make her a trusted figure in healthcare, committed to the well-being of patients and the professional growth of her colleagues.

DR. MÉLANIE SÉNÉCHAL

Meet Dr. Mélanie Sénéchal, a dedicated force for positive change. Guided by the mantra “Be the change you wish to see in the world,” Dr. Sénéchal’s journey has been marked by a commitment to excellence in healthcare. Her academic journey began with an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick, followed by a medical degree from the University of Ottawa. Dr. Sénéchal embarked on two medical residencies, specializing in Family Medicine at Sunnybrook Hospital, University of Toronto, and Emergency Medicine at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine in Sudbury. Her medical studies even took her to Blantyre, Malawi, Africa, showcasing her global perspective. She moved to the Niagara Region in 2012, and has since then been the recipient of: ​
  • The Undergrad Excellence in Education Award (Niagara Campus) from McMaster University (2017)
  • The Emergency Medicine Clerkship Teaching Award from McMaster University (2017)
  • The Niagara Health President’s Award: Extraordinary Performance (2019) – (the top award for the entire Niagara Health System)
  • The Niagara Emergency Medicine Undergrad Excellence in Teaching Award (2019)
  • The Barbara Tatum Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Emergency Medicine Teaching (2021)
